JUST ALEX WALTON: 29th April 1981 - Today

Hi there,

I’m Alex, just plain old Alex - Just Alex Walton, if you will - That’s all I am - just a photographer based in the Blackheath area of South East London.

This city holds a special place in my heart — it’s where I’ve grown up, and I’ve spent a lifetime exploring its hidden corners, rich history, and the incredible stories they hold.

Before picking up a camera, I was an actor. That’s where my love for storytelling began. Today, I bring that same passion to my photography, whether I’m capturing a portrait, an elaborate event, a joyous party or a commercial project. My focus is always on telling your story — whether it’s the quiet intensity before a big moment, the joy of a celebration, or that unforgettable “I do” moment surrounded by your loved ones.

For me, photography isn’t just about getting the perfect shot. It’s about capturing the real, unfiltered moments that make you who you are. I’m here to make sure your personality and story come through in every frame.

Living in leafy South East London gives me plenty of inspiration—between the green spaces and rich history, it’s a perfect backdrop for creativity. And, being so close to London means I’m always ready to capture whatever’s next.

Working out of my fully equipped studio in Bow Lane, near St Pauls the area os steeped in London History and over looking the Cathedral and hearing the bells really does put me in a place of creativity and I feel extremely grateful to be able to call that my base.
